- But surely, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

- Banish anxiety from your mind, and put away pain from your body; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.
- For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life?
- No longer present your members to sin as instruments of wickedness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and present your members to God as instruments of righteousness.
- I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.
