- But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.
- For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
- Wake up righteously and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

“Seek me, and you will live.” - If a man prevails against one who is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
- I ate no pleasant food. No meat or wine came into my mouth. I didn’t anoint myself at all, until three whole weeks were fulfilled.
- There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!

There is no spot in you. - Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
- I have no greater joy than this: to hear about my children walking in truth.
- But he knows the way that I take.

I have kept his way, and not turned away. - Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
- Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
- Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth,
and he adds no trouble to it. - I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way.
- I am coming quickly! Hold firmly that which you have, so that no one takes your crown.
- Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
- I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.

Let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me. - Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord.
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.”
- But above all things, my brothers, don’t swear— not by heaven, or by the earth, or by any other oath; but let your “yes” be “yes”, and your “no”, “no”, so that you don’t fall into hypocrisy.
