- And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
- And therefore will the Lord wait,
that he may be gracious unto you,
and therefore will he be exalted,
that he may have mercy upon you:
for the Lord is a God of judgment:
blessed are all they that wait for him. - The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. - But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
- But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
- Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
- Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
- And rend your heart,
and not your garments,
and turn unto the Lord your God:
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and of great kindness,
and repenteth him of the evil. - The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:
but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.Next verse! With image
