- And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;

My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their prayers;
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
- Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah - Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
- For the customs of the peoples are futile;
For one cuts a tree from the forest,
The work of the hands of the workman, with the ax.
They decorate it with silver and gold;
They fasten it with nails and hammers
So that it will not topple.
They are upright, like a palm tree,
And they cannot speak;
They must be carried,
Because they cannot go by themselves.
Do not be afraid of them,
For they cannot do evil,
Nor can they do any good. - That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.
- For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
- The tongue of the righteous is choice silver;
The heart of the wicked is worth little. - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
- For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
- He guards the paths of justice,
And preserves the way of His saints. - A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
- Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
- Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
- The memory of the righteous is blessed,
But the name of the wicked will rot. - For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
- By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. - And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,
And establish the work of our hands for us;
Yes, establish the work of our hands.
