I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. | For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. |

He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ | He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. |
And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name. | And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. |
So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed. | That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed. |
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus. | Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. |

They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment. | And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. |
Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) | Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. |
Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever! | O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever! |
But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. | But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. |
