As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. | The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. |
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, To such as keep His covenant, And to those who remember His commandments to do them. | But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his commandments! |

Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! | Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. |
