- Repent at my rebuke!
Then I will pour out my thoughts to you,
I will make known to you my teachings. - Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but whoever hates correction is stupid. - A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence. - Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life,
but whoever ignores correction leads others astray. - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
- My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,
and do not resent his rebuke,
because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
as a father the son he delights in. - The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
