For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. | For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. |
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. | But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. |

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. | Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. |
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. | And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. |
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. | And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. |
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? | What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? | He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? |
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? | Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? |
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. | No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. |
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. | For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. | For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. |
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. | Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. |
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. | For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. |
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. | For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” |
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. | For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” |
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. | So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. |
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! | Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! |
For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. | For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. |
