- The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

and deliver us, and purge away our sins,
for thy name's sake. - Deliver my soul, O Lord,
from lying lips,
and from a deceitful tongue. - Treasures of wickedness profit nothing:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - Riches profit not in the day of wrath:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - The ransom of a man's life are his riches:
but the poor heareth not rebuke. - In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;
let me never be ashamed:
deliver me in thy righteousness. - Therefore I will look unto the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation:
my God will hear me. - And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
