- My times are in Your hand;
Deliver me from the hand of my enemies,
And from those who persecute me. - Set me as a seal upon your heart,
As a seal upon your arm;
For love is as strong as death,
Jealousy as cruel as the grave;
Its flames are flames of fire,
A most vehement flame. - The Lord is on my side;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me? - Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord;
Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me. - Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope in His mercy. - He who builds His layers in the sky,
And has founded His strata in the earth;
Who calls for the waters of the sea,
And pours them out on the face of the earth—
The Lord is His name. - Therefore I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
My God will hear me. - And said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great.”
- For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
- The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters. - Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit. - But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.
- The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry. - Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin. - I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
- Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident. - Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.”
The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him. - Yet I am the Lord your God
Ever since the land of Egypt,
And you shall know no God but Me;
For there is no savior besides Me. - I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
- Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished,
But he who gathers by labor will increase. - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
- And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”
- O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off. - You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.
