Jesus answered, “If it is possible! All things are possible for one who has faith.” | Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. |
May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us. | The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. |

Jesus replied, “Amen, amen, I say to you, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.” | Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. |
When they had finished their prayer, the place where they were gathered together shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and proclaimed the word of God fearlessly. | And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. |
Jesus said to him, “Go on your way! Your faith has made you well.” Immediately, he received his sight and followed him along the road. | And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. |
And now, dear children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not be put to shame by him at his coming. | And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. |
Jesus replied, “This is the work of God: to believe in the one whom he has sent.” | Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. |
For this reason, I rejoice when I endure weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and distress for the sake of Christ. For it is when I am weak that I am strong. | Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. |
Indeed, persecution will afflict all who want to lead a godly life in Christ Jesus. | Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. |
But for that very reason I was treated mercifully, so that in me Jesus Christ might exhibit his inexhaustible patience, making me an example for those who would come to believe in him for eternal life. | Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. |
But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. | But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
The Lord makes a man’s steps secure when he approves of his conduct. | The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. |
Train a child in the way he should go, and he will not deviate from it, even in old age. | Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. |
Plans miscarry when counsel is lacking, but they succeed when there are many counselors. | Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. |
Who indeed conquers the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? | Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? |
Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?” | Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? |
God abides in anyone who acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, and that person abides in God. | Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. |
Joseph therefore went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David. He went to be registered together with Mary, his betrothed, who was expecting a child. | And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. |
They answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, and so too will your household.” | And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. |
As long as I remained silent, my body wasted away as the result of my groaning throughout the day. | When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. |
The one who gives this testimony says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! | He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. |
Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; if he closes his lips, he is regarded as intelligent. | Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding. |
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus, himself a man. | For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. |
When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your wicked ways. | Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. |
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “the one who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” | I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. |
