- When I am afraid,
I will put my trust in you. - Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.

He was crushed for our iniquities.
The punishment that brought our peace was on him;

- So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- No one has seen God at any time. The only born Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared him.
- You shall seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.
- When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
- When pride comes, then comes shame,
but with humility comes wisdom. - While they were there, the day had come for her to give birth. She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in bands of cloth and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn.
- When I said, “My foot is slipping!”
Your loving kindness, Yahweh, held me up. - But Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”
- According to their pasture, so were they filled;
they were filled, and their heart was exalted.
Therefore they have forgotten me. - My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God? - But they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out; for they all saw him and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them and said to them, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”
- When you pass through the waters, I will be with you,
and through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned,
and flame will not scorch you. - The Word became flesh and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only born Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.
- Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is counted wise.
When he shuts his lips, he is thought to be discerning. - All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made.
- He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath day. Behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years. She was bent over and could in no way straighten herself up. When Jesus saw her, he called her and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your infirmity.” He laid his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight and glorified God.
The ruler of the synagogue, being indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the multitude, “There are six days in which men ought to work. Therefore come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day!”
Therefore the Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each one of you free his ox or his donkey from the stall on the Sabbath and lead him away to water? Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham whom Satan had bound eighteen long years, be freed from this bondage on the Sabbath day?”
As he said these things, all his adversaries were disappointed; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him. - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
- In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep and God’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.
- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
- When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment.
