- The hope of the righteous is gladness,
But the expectation of the wicked perishes. - Grandchildren are the crown of the old,
And the glory of sons is their fathers. - Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of instruction about washings and laying on of hands, and about the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment.
- The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.
- For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
Fools despise wisdom and instruction. - Now faith is the certainty of things hoped for, a proof of things not seen.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
But the mouth of the wicked, what is perverted. - Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! - Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. - For the eagerly awaiting creation waits for the revealing of the sons and daughters of God.
- For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable, but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.
- By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And by the breath of His mouth all their lights. - What is man that You think of him,
And a son of man that You are concerned about him? - And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.
- Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
- He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. - The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.
- For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- But as for me, I will sing of Your strength;
Yes, I will joyfully sing of Your faithfulness in the morning,
For You have been my refuge
And a place of refuge on the day of my distress. - Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name;
And save us and forgive our sins for the sake of Your name. - Oh, the depth of the riches, both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!
- The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
