| And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. | And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. |

| What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? | What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
| But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. | And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. |
| These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. | I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. |

| He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! | He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. |
| And it shall be, when he is guilty in any of these matters, that he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing. | When anyone becomes aware that they are guilty in any of these matters, they must confess in what way they have sinned. |
| And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. | The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these. |
| But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. | But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. |
| Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not inquire wisely concerning this. | Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?” For it is not wise to ask such questions. |
| Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? | Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have. |
| Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock. | Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. |
| And the Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is this day. | The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today. |
| Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. | Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. |
| Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. | Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. |
| These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers. | They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. |
| These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. | I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. |

| For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. | For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. |
| Who is wise? Let him understand these things. Who is prudent? Let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right; The righteous walk in them, But transgressors stumble in them. | Who is wise? Let them realize these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand. The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them. |
| Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. | After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. |
| But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one. | All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. |
| These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. | I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. |
