- Hatred stirreth up strifes:
but love covereth all sins. - A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. - The wicked worketh a deceitful work:
but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. - And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
- Let all your things be done with charity.
- Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
- And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
- This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
- And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
- Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
- Great peace have they which love thy law:
and nothing shall offend them. - And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
- Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
- As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
- But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
- My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
- By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
- Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.
- With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
- Thou art all fair, my love;
there is no spot in thee. - For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
- Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
- Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.
And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
