- For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.
- We love him, because he first loved us.
- What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!
- Beloved, if our hearts don’t condemn us, we have boldness toward God; so whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.

Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved. - Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
- Then Job arose, and tore his robe, and shaved his head, and fell down on the ground, and worshiped. He said, “Naked I came out of my mother’s womb, and naked will I return there. Yahweh gave, and Yahweh has taken away. Blessed be Yahweh’s name.”
- This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.
- ‘For in him we live, move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’
- Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
- Therefore let’s also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with perseverance the race that is set before us.
- For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you. - Forgive us our debts,
as we also forgive our debtors. - Knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things like silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ.
- We know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
- For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
- For this reason you also pay taxes, for they are servants of God’s service, continually doing this very thing.
- If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.
