- But as for me, I will look to Yahweh.
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me. - Preserve me, God, for I take refuge in you.
- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit.
O God, you will not despise a broken and contrite heart. - No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.
- Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they shall see God. - Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”
- Who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error. Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting.
- God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
- Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.
- If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are.
- Know therefore that Yahweh your God himself is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness to a thousand generations with those who love him and keep his commandments.
- Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
- Yet I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt;
and you shall acknowledge no god but me,
and besides me there is no savior. - But our God is in the heavens.
He does whatever he pleases. - God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.
- But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
- Because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
- My soul rests in God alone.
My salvation is from him. - Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.
- Behold, God is my helper.
The Lord is the one who sustains my soul. - No one has seen God at any time. The only born Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared him.
- Arise, Yahweh!
God, lift up your hand!
Don’t forget the helpless. - Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever! Amen.
- God will bless us.
All the ends of the earth shall fear him. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
