- God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
- O come, let us worship and bow down:
let us kneel before the Lord our maker. - Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
- I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
- And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
- How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
- Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
- Teach me thy way, O Lord;
I will walk in thy truth:
unite my heart to fear thy name. - Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
- In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
- But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
- My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God:
when shall I come and appear before God? - Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
- He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
- And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
- For who is God save the Lord?
or who is a rock save our God? - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
- For who is God, save the Lord?
and who is a rock, save our God? - Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
- Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- For with God nothing shall be impossible.
- For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
- In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. - Therefore I will look unto the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation:
my God will hear me.
In God is my salvation and my glory:
the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom;
and before honour is humility. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.Next verse!With image
