Bible Verses about 'Yet'

  • As sorrowful, and yet we are always rejoicing; as poor, and yet we make many rich; as having nothing, and yet we possess everything.
  • But if we hope for what we do not yet see, then we wait for it with patience.
  • Abba, Father, for you all things are possible. Take this cup from me. Yet not my will but yours be done.
  • Yet even now, says the Lord,
return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.
  • Then Jesus said to him,
    “You have come to believe
    because you have seen me.
Blessed are those who have not seen
and yet have come to believe.”
  • Jesus then said to her, “Do not hold on to me, because I have not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brethren and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ”
  • Gaze upon the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap or store in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of far greater value than they?
  • Consider the ravens. They do not sow or reap, they have no storehouse or barn, and yet God feeds them. You are of far greater importance than birds.
  • Although it was our afflictions that he bore,
    our sufferings that he endured,
we thought of him as stricken,
as struck down by God and afflicted.
  • Beloved,
    we are God’s children now.
    What we shall be
    has not yet been revealed.
However, we do know that when he appears
    we shall be like him,
for we shall see him as he really is.
Everyone who has this hope in him
    keeps himself pure,
    just as he is pure.
  • For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tested in every respect as we are, but without sinning.
  • As servants of God, behave as free people, but do not use your freedom as a means to cover up wrongdoing.
  • Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And yet not one of them is forgotten in God’s sight. Even the hairs on your head have all been counted. Do not be afraid. You are worth far more than any number of sparrows.
  • Yet even if you should suffer for doing what is right, you are thereby blessed. Have no fear of others, and refuse to be intimidated by them.
  • What then should we say? That the Law is sinful? Absolutely not! Yet if it had not been for the Law, I would not have known what sin was. I would not have known what covet is if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
  • Yet even so, because of your great compassion,
you did not completely destroy them,
    nor did you forsake them,
for you are a gracious and merciful God.
  • In love there is no fear;
indeed, perfect love casts out fear,
because fear has to do with punishment,
    and whoever fears
has not yet achieved perfection in love.
  • He has made everything suitable for its time, and he has given men a sense of past and future, but they never have the slightest comprehension of what God has wrought from beginning to end.
  • We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.
  • Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them can fall to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. Even the hairs on your head have all been counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth far more than any number of sparrows.
  • For us there is
    one God, the Father,
    from whom all things are
    and for whom we exist,
    and one Lord, Jesus Christ,
    through whom all things are
    and through whom we exist.
  • Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went inside, and he saw and believed. They still did not understand the Scripture indicating that he must rise from the dead.
  • And yet he is aware of everywhere I go;
if he were to test me, I would emerge like pure gold.
    My footsteps have not strayed from the path he established;
I have followed his way and never turned aside.
  • Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outer self is continuing to decay, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
  • I am the Lord, your God,
who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
You know no God but me,
nor any savior other than me.

Even though the fig tree does not blossom
and there is no fruit on the vines,
even though the olive crop will fail
and the orchards will yield no food,
even though the flock is cut off from the fold
and there is no herd in the stalls,
I will continue to rejoice in the Lord,
and exult in the God of my salvation.
