Sin (2/5)

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good.Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.
Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.”Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.”

“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.
Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.
Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin.
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.
Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong.Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil.
The name of the righteous is used in blessings, but the name of the wicked will rot.The memory of the righteous is blessed, But the name of the wicked will rot.
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.”
We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.We have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.
If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though they do not know it, they are guilty and will be held responsible. If a person sins, and commits any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord, though he does not know it, yet he is guilty and shall bear his iniquity.
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
When anyone becomes aware that they are guilty in any of these matters, they must confess in what way they have sinned. And it shall be, when he is guilty in any of these matters, that he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing.
Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.
For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.

Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
