There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned. But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath.
