- A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. - Excellent speech becometh not a fool:
much less do lying lips a prince. - Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice:
let thine ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications.
