Chinese (traditional)“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything. All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not allow myself to be dominated by anything. As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.Next verse!With image
