- Do not turn to the right or the left;

The ways of the Lord are right;

but the rebellious stumble in them. - Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Defend the oppressed.
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow. - The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others. - Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
- Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
- A person finds joy in giving an apt reply—
and how good is a timely word! - Defend the weak and the fatherless;
uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. - See, the enemy is puffed up;
his desires are not upright—
but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness. - Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.
- Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it. - We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
- He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he.
