Colossians - ESV & NKJV

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.
Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.
Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Bible verse of the day

As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.
