Colossians - NRSV & NKJV

Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ. And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.
Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
As God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering.
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly.Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.
Put to death, therefore, whatever in you is earthly: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry). Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

and one whose temper is controlled than one who captures a city.
