| El Señor te protegerá de todo mal; El guardará tu alma. El Señor guardará tu salida y tu entrada desde ahora y para siempre. | The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. |
| Por tanto, tened cuidado cómo andáis; no como insensatos, sino como sabios, aprovechando bien el tiempo, porque los días son malos. | See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. |
| Como el agua refleja el rostro, así el corazón del hombre refleja al hombre. | As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man. |

| El que sigue la justicia y la lealtad halla vida, justicia y honor. | He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour. |
| Pues, ¿de qué le sirve a un hombre ganar el mundo entero y perder su alma? | For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? |
| Mi carne y mi corazón pueden desfallecer, pero Dios es la fortaleza de mi corazón y mi porción para siempre. | My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. |
| Pues El que quiere amar la vida y ver días buenos, refrene su lengua del mal y sus labios no hablen engaño. Apártese del mal y haga el bien; busque la paz y sígala. | For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. |

| Ciertamente el bien y la misericordia me seguirán todos los días de mi vida, y en la casa del Señor moraré por largos días. | Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. |
| Él que guarda su boca, preserva su vida; el que mucho abre sus labios, termina en ruina. | He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. |
| Pues te ordeno hoy amar al Señor tu Dios, andar en sus caminos y guardar sus mandamientos, sus estatutos y sus decretos, para que vivas y te multipliques, a fin de que el Señor tu Dios te bendiga en la tierra que vas a entrar para poseerla. | In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. |
| No digas: ¿Por qué fueron los días pasados mejores que estos? Pues no es sabio que preguntes sobre esto. | Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this. |
| Alégrate en el día de la prosperidad, y en el día de la adversidad considera: Dios ha hecho tanto el uno como el otro para que el hombre no descubra nada que suceda después de él. | In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him. |
| El que cree en mí, como ha dicho la Escritura: «De lo más profundo de su ser brotarán ríos de agua viva». | He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. |
| Por senda de vida va el que guarda la instrucción, mas el que abandona la reprensión se extravía. | He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth. |
| Con Cristo he sido crucificado, y ya no soy yo el que vive, sino que Cristo vive en mí; y la vida que ahora vivo en la carne, la vivo por fe en el Hijo de Dios, el cual me amó y se entregó a sí mismo por mí. | I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. |
| Buscad la paz con todos y la santidad, sin la cual nadie verá al Señor. | Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. |
