| For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live! | For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live. |

| Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live? | Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live? |
| I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing. | And I will make them and the places all around my hill a blessing, and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing. |
| I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Sovereign Lord, when I am proved holy through you before their eyes. | And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes. |
