You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot… James 4:2

You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. James 4:2	You want something that you cannot have, so you commit murder. And you covet something but cannot obtain it, so you engage in quarrels and fights. You do not have because you do not ask. sin desires prayer
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 4:4	Adulterers! Do you not know that love of the world results in enmity with God? Therefore, whoever wishes to be a lover of the world makes himself an enemy of God. sin God friendship

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7	Hence, be subject to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. obedience safety addiction
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8	Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you waverers. sin purification righteousness
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:10	Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you. God humility reward
There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another? James 4:12	There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save or to destroy. Who then are you to pass judgment on a neighbor? law judgment salvation
