| Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. | Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. |
| But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. | But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. |

| I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. | I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. |
| God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. | God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. |
| And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. | She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. |
| Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. | You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. |

They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” |
