| If any of you sin without knowing it, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, you have incurred guilt, and are subject to punishment. | When someone sins and does any of the things that the Lord has forbidden, even if he does not realize he did it, he has still committed an offense and must bear his guilt. |
| Thus you shall keep my commandments and observe them: I am the Lord. | You shall observe my commandments and obey them. I am the Lord. |
| You shall keep my sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord. | Observe my Sabbaths and stand in awe before my sanctuary. I am the Lord. |
| When you realize your guilt in any of these, you shall confess the sin that you have committed. | Therefore, when someone is guilty of any one of these things, he shall confess the sin he has committed. |
| Six days shall work be done; but the seventh day is a sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no work: it is a sabbath to the Lord throughout your settlements. | For six days work can be done, but the seventh is a Sabbath of rest, a holy assembly. You will do no work on it; it is a Sabbath of the Lord in all of your dwellings. |
| If you follow my statutes and keep my commandments and observe them faithfully, I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. | Follow my statutes and keep my commandments and obey them. Then I will give you rain in its proper season and the yield of the land shall increase and the trees of the field shall bear their fruit. |
