| The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. | The Lord redeems the souls of His servants, And none of those who take refuge in Him will suffer for their guilt. |
| Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. | The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. |

| But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. | As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive. |
| For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. | But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sakes. |

| Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. | Blessed are those whose way is blameless, Who walk in the Law of the Lord. |
| Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. | In the exercise of His will He gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures. |
| For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. | For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose on their behalf. |
| For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end. | For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our commitment firm until the end. |
| Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. | Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us. |
| For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. | For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it. |

| Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works. | Go then, eat your bread in happiness, and drink your wine with a cheerful heart; for God has already approved your works. |
| Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. | Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith. |
| But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. | But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written: “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” |
