- Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.
- Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
He will bring out your righteousness as the light,
And your judgment as the noonday. - One who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
One who keeps understanding will find good. - So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
- For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
- Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.
- Do all things without complaining or arguments; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, holding firmly the word of life.
- This is the day which the Lord has made;
Let’s rejoice and be glad in it. - The one who has found his life will lose it, and the one who has lost his life on My account will find it.
- Behold, God is my helper;
The Lord is the sustainer of my soul. - For we know that if our earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made by hands, eternal in the heavens.
- The heart is more deceitful than all else
And is desperately sick;
Who can understand it?
I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the mind,
To give to each person according to his ways,
According to the results of his deeds. - My son, do not forget my teaching,
But have your heart comply with my commandments;
For length of days and years of life
And peace they will add to you. - He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, without the possibility that mankind will find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.
- By this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him.
- All things are permitted for me, but not all things are of benefit. All things are permitted for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.
- For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
- Watch the path of your feet,
And all your ways will be established. - Because Your favor is better than life,
My lips will praise You.
So I will bless You as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
But desire fulfilled is a tree of life. - If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well.
- Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.”
- For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?
- You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
