For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. | For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. |
That is why he is the one who mediates a new covenant between God and people, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them. For Christ died to set them free from the penalty of the sins they had committed under that first covenant. | And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. |

Now a mediator is helpful if more than one party must reach an agreement. But God, who is one, did not use a mediator when he gave his promise to Abraham. | Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. |
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” | Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. |
And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. | And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. |
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. | For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. | I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. |
But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises. | But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. |
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. | For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. |
And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. | And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. |
