Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Execute true justice, Show mercy and compassion Everyone to his brother. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, The alien or the poor. Let none of you plan evil in his heart Against his brother.’Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another; do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.
But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help?
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help.
And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.
By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another.
If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
Do not forsake your own friend or your father’s friend, Nor go to your brother’s house in the day of your calamity; Better is a neighbor nearby than a brother far away.Do not forsake your friend or the friend of your parent; do not go to the house of your kindred in the day of your calamity. Better is a neighbor who is nearby than kindred who are far away.
Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.”
No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.
Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke?Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of injustice, to undo the thongs of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?
Arise, O Lord! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble.Rise up, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand; do not forget the oppressed.
If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.
Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy.Give justice to the weak and the orphan; maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute.
Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.Take care, brothers and sisters, that none of you may have an evil, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.”In reply he said to them, “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise.”
There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?There is one lawgiver and judge who is able to save and to destroy. So who, then, are you to judge your neighbor?

Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave.It will not be so among you; but whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be your slave.
Again, I saw that for all toil and every skillful work a man is envied by his neighbor. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from one person's envy of another. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.

Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.While Peter was kept in prison, the church prayed fervently to God for him.

And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.And ‘to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength,’ and ‘to love one's neighbor as oneself,’—this is much more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
