Chinese (traditional)- Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.
- Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord. - Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
- But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
- When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
