| For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” | As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” |
| For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” | For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” |
| So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. | Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. |
