Romans 8 - NKJV & NLT

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.
For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.
But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Bible verse of the day

Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord;
Lord, hear my voice!
Let Your ears be attentive
To the voice of my supplications.
