| And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. | We know that God makes all things work together for good for those who love him and who are called according to his purpose. |
| What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? | What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us? |

| Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? | Who then can separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or the sword? |
| Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. | No, throughout all these things we are conquerors because of him who loved us. |
