- There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling.
- Seek good and not evil,
That you may live;
So the Lord God of hosts will be with you,
As you have spoken. - For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
- You who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of His saints;
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. - Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.
- Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
- And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
- See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
- Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones. - And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
- Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.

For the Son of Man’s sake. - Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. - For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their prayers;
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
- If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
- Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. - But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
- For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.
