- Seek good and not evil,
That you may live;
So the Lord God of hosts will be with you,
As you have spoken. - The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. - Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.
- You who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of His saints;
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.

For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
- Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
- Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”
- Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
- Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones. - And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!

But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. - But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
- If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
- Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. - For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
- For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.
- Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another.
- But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
- No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
