- No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
- For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter.
Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
they can do no harm
nor can they do any good. - Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.
- A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
- No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
- The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore. - You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
- For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
- For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
- Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
- Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
- For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
- There is no one holy like the Lord;
there is no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God. - The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name.
- One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.
- Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
- Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
- No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.
- Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor. - If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up. - The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless,
but it is the ruin of those who do evil. - Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
- By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
- I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.
Better a patient person than a warrior,
one with self-control than one who takes a city.This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.Next verse!With image
