- For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death.

Fix your gaze directly before you. - Wicked people earn deceitful wages,
but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. - Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.”
- We have sinned, and have dealt perversely, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from your precepts and from your ordinances.

He upholds the fatherless and widow,
but he turns the way of the wicked upside down. - Nevertheless in your manifold mercies you didn’t make a full end of them, nor forsake them; for you are a gracious and merciful God.
- Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, “Rejoice!”
- For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
