Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent.Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age.For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.
Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and exhort, with great patience and instruction.Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
So then, let’s not sleep as others do, but let’s be alert and sober.Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

One who loves discipline loves knowledge, But one who hates rebuke is stupid.Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.
There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven.To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things.Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
But sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints.But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints.

Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of instruction about washings and laying on of hands, and about the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment.Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high, And the wilderness becomes a fertile field, And the fertile field is considered as a forest.Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

Therefore let’s not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this: not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother’s or sister’s way.Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
