2 corinthians (2/4)

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.Having therefore these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Do everything in love.Let all that you do be done in love.
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. For the love of Christ compels us; because we judge thus: that one died for all, therefore all died. He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.”
For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong!
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s farming, God’s building.
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.Whether therefore you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.
But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. But, because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?
For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also came by man.
God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except God’s Spirit.
However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him.But as it is written, “Things which an eye didn’t see, and an ear didn’t hear, which didn’t enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him.”
If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple. If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are.
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.

Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.Wake up righteously and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
