- Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers—none of these will inherit the kingdom of God.
- You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- The saying is sure:
If we have died with him, we will also live with him. - There is no Holy One like the Lord,
no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God. - Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation.
- May mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.
- And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
- Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.
- For he will repay according to each one's deeds.
- For this purpose he called you through our proclamation of the good news, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.
- But as for you, teach what is consistent with sound doctrine.
- Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.
- Deliver me, O Lord,
from lying lips,
from a deceitful tongue. - Proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage, with the utmost patience in teaching.
- Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.
- Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
- For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved by him, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly explaining the word of truth.
- The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low, he also exalts. - Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.
- When pride comes, then comes disgrace;
but wisdom is with the humble. - Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
- I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.”
