Chinese (traditional)- For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
- But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
- I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.
- If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.
- But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. - Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
and the one who gets understanding. - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
- Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.
- He will render to each one according to his works.
- Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
- And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.
- We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.
- There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
- The sum of your word is truth,
and every one of your righteous rules endures forever. - And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you.
- He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
- Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
- “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
- But you, O Lord, are a shield about me,
my glory, and the lifter of my head. - And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
- Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
- When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.
As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”
