- As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.
- Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
- Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. - Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.”
- For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
- And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. - Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
- Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.
- Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.
- For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
- For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
- May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus.
- Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.
- Iron sharpens iron,
and one man sharpens another. - Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
- No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.
- One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to inquire in his temple. - If one turns away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer is an abomination. - Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
- God, having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness.
- But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
- Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.
- If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.
- And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
- Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.
And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”Next verse! With image
