Anointed one (4/4)

  • When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.
  • Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.”
  • For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
  • Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.
  • Iron sharpens iron,
    and one man sharpens another.
  • Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.
  • Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
  • Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
  • Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
  • For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
  • May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus.
  • Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
  • Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
  • And lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil.
  • If one turns away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer is an abomination.
  • Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.
  • Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets,
but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered.
  • For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
  • God, having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness.
  • No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.
  • One thing have I asked of the Lord,
    that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to inquire in his temple.
  • And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”
  • But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
  • Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.
  • Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.
