Chinese (traditional)- And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
- If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
- As in water face answereth to face,
so the heart of man to man. - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
- Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
- Who is a God like unto thee,
that pardoneth iniquity,
and passeth by the transgression
of the remnant of his heritage?
he retaineth not his anger for ever,
because he delighteth in mercy. - Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
- Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
- He that hideth hatred with lying lips,
and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. - Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
- But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
- Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
- And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
- For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
- Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.Next verse! With image
