For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ | For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ |
O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. | O Lord, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God. You do such wonderful things! You planned them long ago, and now you have accomplished them. |
Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise. | O Lord, if you heal me, I will be truly healed; if you save me, I will be truly saved. My praises are for you alone! |
The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious, But the lips of a fool shall swallow him up. | Wise words bring approval, but fools are destroyed by their own words. |

I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid Of a man who will die, And of the son of a man who will be made like grass? | I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear? |

For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. | The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. |
For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them. | For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them. |

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. | God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. |
Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day. | Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. |
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. | Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit.
