Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children.Hence, be imitators of God, as beloved children.
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. After Jesus had been born in Bethlehem of Judea during the reign of King Herod, wise men traveled from the east and arrived in Jerusalem, inquiring, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw the rising of his star, and we have come to pay him homage.”
Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. The brother who is in modest circumstances should take pride in being raised up. Likewise, the one who is rich should glory in being brought low, for he will disappear like a flower of the field.
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ.
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. For just as in one body we have many parts, and the parts do not all have the same function, so we, though many, make up one body in Christ, and individually we are all parts of one another.
My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass.Let my teaching fall down like rain, and my words descend like the dew. Like rain upon the sprouts, and like showers upon the grass.
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, take care to live as intelligent people, and do not be like those who are senseless. Make the most of the present time, for this is a wicked age.
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people claimed by God as his own possession,” so that you may proclaim the praise of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law.All those who have sinned outside the Law will perish outside the Law, and all who sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law.
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.Nor should you present any part of your body as an instrument for wickedness leading to sin. Rather, present yourselves to God as having been raised from death to life and the parts of your body to God as instruments for righteousness.
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Therefore, strive to be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.
As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.The way of God is blameless, and the Lord’s promise proves true; he is a shield to all who flee to him for safety.
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.The way of God is blameless; the Lord’s promise has proved true. He is a shield to all who take refuge in him.
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. And as we gaze upon the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, all of us are being transformed into that same image from glory to glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. This is my commandment: love one another as I have loved you.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light to my path.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. With his feathers he will shelter you, and you will take refuge under his wings; his faithfulness serves as a protective shield.

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.Just as in Adam all die, so all will be brought to life in Christ.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. Each person should give as much as he has decided in his heart, not with reluctance or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.I then heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me!”
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. But he is to ask with faith, without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind.
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.A cheerful heart is excellent medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
